Tallaght Drugs Task Force

Dodder Valley Partnerships works closely together with Tallaght Drugs Task Force (TDTF) and employs two staff members on its behalf: the coordinator of the Task Force and the Rehabilitation Worker.

Coordination of TDTF focuses on facilitating the Task Force and its subcommittees, liaising with the Office of the Minister for Drugs and all locally funded drugs projects, organising information campaigns such as “Dial against Drug dealing”, the TDTF website, local events and coordinating TDTF’s training fund. The rehabilitation and integration work supports organisations in Tallaght to assist people with drugs issues to take part in society. Activities focus on cooperation with local drugs projects and services to improve cooperation between projects and with other professionals such as GP’s, social workers, prison and probation services; development and implement of quality standards and shared work practices and dealing with issues such as child welfare, dual diagnosis (mental health & addiction), cocaine and benzo use.
