Going to college - have a look at our new career guidance toolkit

Dodder Valley Partnership is pleased to announce the launch of the “Prepare for College” Toolkit for people moving into further education. On 25 April at 1pm this new career guidance tool will be presented by project coordinator Anne Biddulph in the Dodder Valley Partnership offices in Killinarden Enterprise Park.

We're very excited to be bringing you the first Volunteer Trade Show in Ireland

The Volunteer Trade Show is an opportunity for local community groups to showcase and "sell" their volunteering opportunities to the general public and to businesses. To date over 40 organisations have signed up for the event which takes place onApril 19th in Tallaght Library from 4pm - 8pm.  We hope to have a great variety of opportunities to volunteer on display on the day.

We're hiring: Tus teamleaders!

We're recruiting two Team Leaders for Tús – Community Work Placement Initiative. Team Leaders will support and manage the implementation of Tús in the Dodder Valley Partnership area.

To be eligible for the Team Leader position you have to be continuously unemployed for at least 12 months, on the live register on a full-time basis, in receipt of a Jobseekers Payment (e.g. Jobseekers Benefit) from the Department of Social Protection for at least 12 months, and in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance at the time of application.

Look no further: new drop-in service for unemployed people

We want to create a space where people can meet and enjoy an infomal atmosphere, play a game (darts, anyone?), have a chat, maybe play around on a computer if they want to.

The Flexible Training Unit in Brookfield Enterprise Park will be open on Thursday afternoons between 2-5pm to drop in. More information: eileen.orourke@doddervalley.ie / 4625364.

Tender request from Tallaght Drugs Task Force

Tallaght Drugs Task Force is looking for tenders to review and assess the effectiveness of Tallaght Local Drugs Task Force funded projects and their relevance in the context of current substance misuse issues in the community. The full tender briefing can be downloaded here.

Tus Application form now available for downloading

Tus, the national work experience programme, will be managed by Dodder Valley Partnership in the are of South County Dublin south of the Naas Road. Organisations with an interest in taking on a Tus placement can now download the application form (2 parts). The form is also available in Word (part 2) and can be downloaded from the 'Publications' section of the website.

Community Feedback Session on Strategic Plan on 25th May

Dodder Valley Partnership is preparing a new Strategic Plan and we’re looking for feedback from people in the communities we work in (South County Dublin south of the N7 or Naas Road).
